The incident happened outside a nightclub in the Mission District, a busy area known for late-night events. White was shot in the left leg and later underwent surgery. The San Francisco 49ers confirmed he was taken to a local hospital and is continuing treatment.Police say the shooting followed an argument that started during a private party inside the club. The incident took place around 4:06 a.m. at Dahlia’s, located on Mission Street. When officers arrived, they found a chaotic scene with people still leaving the venue. White had already been injured, and no suspect was immediately identified. The case remains under investigation as police work to piece together what happened.
Keion White shooting followed argument at Mission Street nightclub
According to a police report reviewed by the San Francisco Standard, the club was hosting a crowded event that night. There was a main-floor party and a separate private gathering downstairs. Keion White was hosting the private event, which was closed off from the rest of the club. A witness told police that rapper Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Jones, was inside the club that night. The witness said Jones’ group was on the main floor and attempted to enter the private downstairs area. That attempt reportedly led to a tense argument between White and the rapper. The witness said he went upstairs to ask club staff for help, hoping the situation could be calmed before it got worse. While he was upstairs, he told police he heard two gunshots. When he rushed back downstairs, he saw that White had been shot in the leg. The witness told officers, “I did not see who fired the shots.” Police said that when they questioned White at the scene, he did not cooperate or identify the shooter. Investigators later found possible evidence inside the club, including one 9mm shell casing and one .45-caliber shell casing. Lil Baby had performed in San Francisco earlier that night, based on event listings and social media posts. His representatives did not respond to requests for comment. As of now, police have not made any arrests, and no suspect has been publicly named.
