Prayagraj: The Samajwadi Party functionaries on Monday boycotted the meeting of the district election officer after they were interrupted by the Bharatiya Janata Party as they were raising the issue of a large number of Form 7 being recovered from BLOs across the district.SP’s national spokesman Daan Bahadur Madhur told TOI, “Officials of the district election office on Monday called a meeting of political parties regarding the Special Summary Revision (SSR). But when SP raised the issue of the recovery of a large number of Form 7 with BLOs at booths in Soraon and Karchhana in the district, BJP members did not let them speak on the issue.”Madhur said that hundreds of duly filled forms at booth numbers 37, 38, 39, and 40 in Soraon and Bhanemau, and at booth numbers 114 and 115 in Karchhana, were recovered from the BLOs.When the mobile numbers mentioned on these forms were called, the recipients said that they did not fill out any forms.Moreover, a man from Karchhana, also a BJP BLA at booth number 101/115, and another person wrote a letter to the DEO stating that they were not involved in the entire matter. When SP functionaries described the entire incident as serious and demanded an impartial investigation and legal action against those involved in the conspiracy, the BJP functionaries interrupted them. Seeing the commotion, the SP members walked out of the meeting. tnn
