Lucknow: In yet another case of Chinese kite string menace, a motorcyclist sustained a cut on his nose after coming into contact with a manjha in the Thakurganj area on Sunday. He received medical treatment, and a serious accident was averted.Earlier on Saturday, Vimlesh Tiwari, secretary of the Yahiyaganj Udyog Vyapar Mandal was injured with a kite string when was returning home around 6 pm.
The kite string struck him near Kudiaghat, cutting his nose. Family members rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was treated and later discharged.In another case, a young bike rider was injured while riding towards Chowk to deliver an order. The kite string got entangled in his helmet and cut his nose. He was treated at a local clinic and discharged. On the same day, a motorcyclist suffered a neck injury in the Chowk area. Earlier, on Feb 5, an electricity worker sustained a throat injury in Gomtinagar Extension. A few hours before that, a retired soldier suffered cuts on his cheek and lip on Shaheed Path. On Feb 4, a man died in Old Lucknow in a similar incident.
