LOCATION
Ratnagiri district forms part of the traditional Konkan region along the western coast. It is located between 16°13′N–18°04′N latitudes and 73°02′E–73°52′E longitudes. Raigad lies to the north, Sindhudurg to the south, the Arabian Sea to the west, and Satara, Sangli, and Kolhapur districts to the east.
