Dibrugarh: Union minister of ports, shipping & waterways Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday lauded the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris organisation during their golden jubilee celebrations in Tinsukia, describing the spiritual movement as a beacon of hope that has shaped India’s social fabric over five decades.Speaking at the event, Sonowal praised the organisation’s unwavering commitment to spirituality, social harmony, and character building, emphasising how their mission aligns with central govt’s vision of inclusive development.“For the last several decades, Prajapita Brahma Kumaris have nurtured not just individual souls but the soul of our society. Their tireless service mirrors the vision of ‘Antyodaya’ — the rise of the last person in the queue. A vision that PM Narendra Modi champions in his governance,” Sonowal said.The minister drew strong parallels between the Brahma Kumaris’ spiritual teachings and PM Modi’s development philosophy, noting how both emphasise compassion, character building, and empowerment of marginalised communities.
