Chikkamagaluru: A 15-year-old schoolgirl allegedly died by suicide at the hostel of a residential school in Koppa on Saturday night.The girl, hailing from Bomblapura in the taluk, was studying in Class VI and was active in her studies.According to the Koppa police, the girl took the extreme step late at night. The reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained. This is the third case in Koppa taluk, and it is the second case in this institution. Last year, a girl ended her life.Former minister DN Jeevaraj visited the hospital. He urged the authorities concerned to take proper measures to ensure no such incidents are reported again.
