Hyderabad: AIG Hospitals, Hyderabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Boston Scientific to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for minimally invasive gastrointestinal therapies, with a particular emphasis on training doctors across India.
The three-year collaboration aims to strengthen clinical expertise in advanced therapeutic endoscopy and support wider access to minimally invasive gastrointestinal interventions beyond major metropolitan centres, the two organisations said.
“Through this partnership, both organisations aim to strengthen India’s therapeutic endoscopy training ecosystem, with the larger objective of improving the availability of skilled clinical teams and expanding access to advanced gastrointestinal care across the country,” they added.
Under the MoU, AIG Hospitals will host structured training programmes annually, covering Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Cholangioscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Endoluminal Surgeries.
The Centre will also provide training opportunities for endoscopy technicians and nursing professionals.
