The first round of the Indian Racing League (IRL) will be held at the Madras International Circuit from Friday. The IRL returns with six City-based franchise teams competing in India’s only four-wheel racing league.
Goa Aces JA Racing is the defending champion. Led by Raoul Hyman and Fabienne Wohlwend, the team will be looking to carry forward the form that helped it triumph last season. Hyman has been a key figure in the team’s success, while Wohlwend made headlines with a feature-race victory at the Goa Street Circuit in February 2026.
The weekend will also witness the third round of the F4 India championship. With just five points separating championship leader Aris Kyriakou (93) and Luviwe Sambudla (88), this weekend will be crucial in the title battle.
Bhuvan Bonu, who won Race-2 in Coimbatore, sits third in the standings on 51 points.
