Mumbai: Leucine Rich Bio has launched the BugSpeaks vaginal microbiome test as it expands into female reproductive and urogenital health.
The microbiome company said the test marks the first vaginal microbiome diagnostic available across South and Middle East Asia and builds on the company’s previous tests, including the BugSpeaks gut microbiome test and facial skin microbiome test.
According to Leucine, “Women’s reproductive and urogenital health has historically depended on traditional culture methods. These methods frequently fail to capture the full complexity of microbial interactions. The BugSpeaks vaginal microbiome test evaluates the complete local microbial ecosystem.”
“The diagnostic output covers eight sections: core vaginal dysbiosis and infections, reproductive health and fertility, sexually transmitted infection susceptibility, menopausal transitions, microbial composition and predictive pH, functional secretions, the gut-vagina axis, and antimicrobial resistance profiling,” the company added.
