A man has been charged with the murder of a woman who was stabbed to death in a street in Manchester.
Lawrence Johnson, 26, of Dorking Avenue, has been charged with the murder of Alisha Samuels, also 26, and the attempted murder of a man following the incident on Thursday.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
Det Ch Insp Justin Bryant said officers were continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Ms Samuels’ death and to provide answers for her family.
Police are still appealing for information.

“I urge others who may have information, no matter how small, to please come forward.”
