Sharma is now pitching the party on development front with focus on canal projects. On Thursday, Sharma met PM Modi in Delhi over developmental project in the state.
Despite internal conflicts among the senior state leaders, the BJP has been able to showcase unity with leaders standing behind Sharma.
In Congress every leader is talking about unity but the differences keep surfacing. Recently while a group of Tribal leaders joining the party at Gehlot’s residence raised slogans about ‘Gehlot as CM for fourth time’.
The group when later reached at party office to formally join under state president Govind Singh Dotasara, Dotasara expressed unhappiness about certain people (read Gehlot) engaged in their branding rather than working for the party.
Next day during a public meeting in Jodhpur, Gehlot instructed his supporters not to shout such slogans and said that chief minister will be decided by the party high command.
He added that he has been a CM for three terms and people should work on strengthening Congress rather than raising slogans that sent a divisive message within the party.
