The petition challenges the poll panel’s decisions relating to the revision of electoral rolls and raises concerns over alleged irregularities in the addition, deletion and modification of voter entries.
The Opposition leaders have sought an independent audit of changes made to electoral rolls during the SIR exercise. They have also sought safeguards to ensure that no eligible voter is removed from the rolls without proper notice.
