Jaipur: Female students of Mania Govt College in Dholpur have accused a lab assistant of indecent behaviour and harassment, demanding an impartial inquiry and appropriate action against him.Students alleged that Singh looked at them inappropriately and made objectionable remarks.College principal Anuj Kumar said that the allegations were raised Tuesday after a dispute over a proposed fresher’s party. Suraj Pal Singh, a lab assistant on deputation from Govt College, Dholpur, since Feb 2024, reportedly opposed the event over concerns that boys from outside the college might attend it.Kumar added that he had spoken to the students who raised grievances, but none had reported indecent behaviour to him. He said the complaints primarily concerned the assistant’s alleged rudeness and restrictions on activities. “The matter will be investigated within two days, and appropriate action will be taken,” Kumar said.
