Vadodara: A man died after falling into a deep gorge at Pavagadh Hill, around 45 km from Vadodara, on Wednesday. Fire brigade personnel and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams descended into the gorge and retrieved the victim’s body.According to police, the victim, Anil Bhil, was a resident of Waghodia taluka. He was heading to the Mahakali temple atop Pavagadh Hill with three other people. He took a shortcut instead of following the usual route, possibly to avoid the crowd of devotees .While walking near a deep gorge, Bhil allegedly lost his footing and fell. He sustained severe injuries and died on the spot, police added.
