Prayagraj: A 35-year-old porter, Satan, a resident of Lalapur, died after being hit by an Intercity train near a platform at Prayagraj Junction on Tuesday morning. According to the GRP, the incident took place when the train was entering the platform.The deceased lived in rented accommodation in Karelabagh area of the city and had been working as a porter at the station for 15 years. A senior police officer said the body has been sent for post-mortem and further action will be taken accordingly. It was reported that the victim had been facing severe financial hardship for a long time.
