Mohali: Mayor Sarabjit Singh Samana on Sunday ordered the seizure of a concrete mixer truck allegedly found dumping construction waste on municipal corporation land in Sector 89. The truck, belonging to a private company, was reportedly caught unloading concrete waste in the open. Samana reached the spot and directed officials to take action. He said he had also warned the operator of the concrete mixing plant of legal action if illegal dumping continued. Stressing a zero-tolerance approach, the mayor said the MC would act against anyone found violating waste-disposal norms or misusing civic land.
