Bengaluru: Reviving discussions on the long-pending inter-state metro link between Bommasandra in Bengaluru and Hosur in Tamil Nadu, Tamil Nadu chief minister C Joseph Vijay Sunday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to expedite approval for the corridor.Tamil Nadu has previously proposed extending Namma Metro’s Yellow Line, which currently runs between RV Road and Bommasandra in south Bengaluru, to Hosur.Speaking at the inauguration of an expansion of the Chennai Metro, Vijay said the proposed corridor would be South India’s first inter-state metro link and benefit both states.“I also take this opportunity to request you to grant approval for the inter-state metro line from Hosur in Tamil Nadu to Bommasandra in Karnataka, for the benefit of both states,” Vijay said, with Modi seated beside him on the stage.
