Mumbai: Amid CJP’s protests demanding the ouster of chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut warned that PM Narendra Modi would not remain in his post beyond March/April next year and that there is unrest within BJP.“During Emergency, senior Congress leaders, including Jagjivan Ram and [H N] Bahuguna, left Indira Gandhi. The same thing will happen in BJP,” alleged Raut.He claimed that four senior BJP functionaries would take a step in public interest. “These are cabinet ministers and close to RSS,” said Raut. He said at the time of a major agitation against Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah, not a single prominent BJP functionary had spoken out in their favour.Raut said the Modi govt no longer occupies power because of public support but through the use of armed forces and weapons. “Mogambo will run away. He will cry,” he said, a reference to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s jab at Modi.Raut said Shiv Sena (UBT) will participate in every agitation on the issue of alleged electoral fraud. “We will take bullets in the chest if needed.”He said it was a matter of shame that Mahatma Gandhi’s great-grandson Tushar Gandhi had been detained by police. “CM Devendra Fadnavis should apologise for this.”Asked about Elon Musk’s allegation about a prominent industrialist stalling the launch in India of his satellite internet company Starlink, Raut said, “There are many industrialists funding the PM Cares fund, many of whom have ED cases against them. Elon Musk has supported Modi and Trump. He should first clarify his own stance.”
