New Delhi: CPI(ML) Liberation General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, AISA president Neha along with activists Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan were detained near INA market in Delhi during a protest against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar.
The activists, along with several AISA members, were marching toward the Safdarjung Flyover, raising slogans against the CEC when the Delhi Police detained them. CPI(ML) L leader Balaji said they were being taken in different vehicles.

The detentions come amid heightened security in New Delhi following the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) call for a protest against CEC Kumar and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. Roads leading to New Delhi have been shut, and several metro stations, as well as two key railway stations in Delhi, have been closed.
