That’s a wrap on the Spring 2027 ready-to-wear season. On Tuesday, Louis Vuitton closed out the month-long fashion extravaganza, which was packed with hotly-anticipated designer debuts, runway crashers and yet another onslaught of elevated basics. Now, we’re looking back on all the memorable trends from the Spring 2027 runways we can’t wait to replicate.
Copenhagen kicked off the season by sending billowing mullet hems, icy blue color palettes, voluminous parachute pants and thick elastic headbands down the catwalk. The Danish designers have a reputation for setting the sartorial tone of the season, as evidenced by high-low hems and balloon pants soon appearing across fashion capitals both on and off the runway. In New York, designers embraced primary colors, 2000s-era skinny scarves, oversized culottes and bra-baring button-ups. In fact, visible bras were perhaps Spring 2027’s MVP: The lingerie top made an appearance across cities at Prada, Sandy Liang and Mowalola, among many others.
Across the pond, London designers appeared to reject AI design in favor of human craftsmanship via unfinished hems (Ashley Williams), multimedia materials (Chopova Lowena) and three-dimensional embellishment (Erdem). High-fashion kitchen aprons, choker necklaces and minimalist boleros also made their mark on the British runways. Over in Milan, springtime plaid, feathered trims and exaggerated hips dominated the Italian designers’ collections. Plus, we spotted ballet pinks at Blumarine and Jil Sander as well as split-front tops at Etro and Roberto Cavalli. As Spring 2027’s nine-day grand finale, the Paris shows welcomed intentionally crinkled fabrications, stylish windbreakers and various olive green hues.
