“Emergency has been imposed in the country, Delhi turned into a fortress,” Das said ahead of the protest, according to PTI.
The allegations come amid heightened security arrangements in the national capital ahead of the planned agitation. Delhi Police has denied permission for the October 10 protest, citing short notice, previous non-compliance with directions and concerns over public safety, law and order and traffic regulation.

About the protest
CJP has called for a protest at Jantar Mantar on October 10 against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, demanding accountability and electoral reforms amid allegations of irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The party had earlier announced the agitation if Kumar did not resign.
CJP and student organisations, including the All India Students’ Association (AISA), the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and the All India Students’ Federation (AISF), have joined hands for the planned agitation.
