Gurgaon: Managing director of a real estate company was named in an FIR for allegedly raping a former HR executive multiple times in a Rewari flat he had rented for business operations. The woman, who is from Assam, alleged that Hodil Singh raped her at gunpoint first on Jan 15 and then twice, on May 9 and Aug 2, which left her pregnant.A zero FIR was registered this week after she submitted a complaint at women’s police station in Sector 51 and the case was later transferred to Rewari. A senior police officer in Rewari told TOI that multiple teams have been set up to trace Singh.According to the complainant, she was working as a senior operations and HR executive in the company where Singh was the MD. She was required to travel to different cities for work. On Jan 15, Singh allegedly took her to a flat in Rewari on the pretext of an official assignment and sexually assaulted her. The woman alleged that when she resisted, Singh threatened her and claimed that he had a gun. He also allegedly invoked the name of a ‘Guruji’, saying the person could make women disappear.The complainant said she subsequently started looking for another job and joined a new company on March 2, but Singh continued to pressure her to work for him. She alleged that Singh threatened to implicate her in a fraud case.The complainant alleged that she was taken to the Rewari flat again on May 9 and Aug 2 and sexually assaulted. When the woman found out that she was pregnant and informed Singh, he allegedly threatened her.The woman subsequently approached the women’s police station. “We received a Zero FIR, following which we registered a case at Model Town police station. We have also recorded the statement of the complainant and counselled her,” a police officer in Rewari said.Model Town police has registered a case under BNS sections 64(2)(m) (rape committed repeatedly on the same woman) and 351(3) (criminal intimidation involving serious threats, including threats of death or grievous hurt).
