Varanasi: Kotwali police in Ghazipur district arrested two persons during a checking drive and recovered 534 grams of heroin valued at around Rs 1.03 crore, along with a motorcycle and two mobile phones.The arrests were made near the bus stand on Semra Highway, NH-31, on Wednesday, following a tip-off from an informer. The police team was led by inspector-in-charge Pramod Kumar Singh, along with SIs Shivakant Mishra and Vivek Kumar Pathak of Kotwali police station.The accused were identified as Sahul Yadav (20), a resident of Bhandaha Kala village under Chaubepur police station area, and Ravi Rajbhar (22), a resident of Kaula Jakhaniya village under Bhudkuda police station area in Ghazipur district.A case was registered at Kotwali police station under sections 8/21/29/60 of the NDPS Act. Further action is underway.
