Buxar: Union minister of state for home affairs Nityanand Rai visited Buxar on Tuesday as part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ and honoured students who excelled in painting and speech competitions organised at MP High School.Rai presented certificates and prizes to the selected students before proceeding to the guest house in Buxar Sadar, where he addressed a news conference.During the interaction with the media, Rai spoke about the objectives of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ and highlighted what he described as the major achievements of the Narendra Modi govt. He also spoke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the govt’s focus on good governance, development and public welfare.Rai announced that a ‘dwar’ would be erected in Buxar in memory of Operation Sindoor martyr Sunil Singh Yadav, paying tribute to his sacrifice.Party workers welcomed him at several places along the route from Dumraon to Buxar.He later reached Veer Kunwar Singh Chowk, where he paid floral tribute to the statue of freedom fighter Veer Kunwar Singh.
