Jaipur: Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE) will conduct Class 10 examinations twice in an academic session from 2026-27, with the main examination in Feb-March and the second remedial examination in May, according to an order issued by the board Monday.The board has abolished the supplementary examination system from 2026-27. Students who score below the minimum passing marks of 33% in up to two subjects, or are absent in one subject and score below 33% in another, will be eligible for the second examination under the Essential Improvement (EI) category.Students who pass the main examination can also opt to improve their marks in a maximum of three subjects. The final result will be prepared by considering the higher subject-wise marks obtained in the main and remedial examinations.Students scoring below 33% in a maximum of two subjects in the main examination will be given provisional admission to Class 11, which will be made permanent based on their remedial examination result.Eligible students can use their main examination performance for provisional admission to Class 11. Internal assessment and session marks will be awarded only once and carried forward to the final result.The order, issued in compliance with RBSE Chairperson Hanuman Singh Rathore’s Sept 29 order and in accordance with the National Education Policy 2020, was signed by Board of Secondary Education secretary Kailash Chandra Sharma.
