Times News NetworkKanpur: The health department is carrying out a survey to check mosquito breeding. So far, 895 houses in different areas of the district have been covered.Larvae were found in 26 of these houses. Officials checked 7,858 premises in total and destroyed larvae in 42 houses. Residents have been advised not to let water stagnate in and around their homes, to prevent waterlogging, to use mosquito protection measures and to wear clothes that fully cover the body.A team of the malaria department on Monday did a physical inspection and verification of a dengue case in Sanigawan. The team verified activities such as fever surveys, testing, source reduction and other preventive measures in the area, while also raising public awareness about protecting against dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases, according to district malaria officer Arun Kumar Singh.At the health camp organised in Chandar Nagar, seven patients were tested for malaria, dengue and typhoid. None tested positive for malaria. Meanwhile, necessary preventive measures were completed regarding the two dengue cases reported in the Sharda Nagar and Manjhavan-Ramaipur areas of Copperganj.
