Anupam Kher met Hollywood star Robert De Niro during his recent trip to the US. The veteran actor shared pictures and videos from the lunch hosted by De Niro and his partner Tiffany Chen and revealed that he even received a cap as a gift.

Anupam Kher posted photos and clips of the get-together on social media. One video shows Robert De Niro handing him a cap. Along with the post, the Hindi cinema actor wrote, “MEETING MR. The two actors first met while working on the 2012 Hollywood film ‘Silver Linings Playbook’, directed by David O Russell and nominated for the Oscars. Their bond grew into a friendship, and they have backed each other’s work over the years.In June 2025, De Niro attended the New York premiere of ‘Tanvi The Great’, which was directed by Anupam. They also met at the 78th Cannes Film Festival in May 2025, where De Niro was honoured with the Palme d’Or for Lifetime Achievement.
