Bokaro: An 18-year-old boy died after allegedly falling from the fourth floor of a residential building at Dev Market near Telidih in the district early on Sunday.Police identified him as Priyanshu though relatives referred to him as Rahul. He lived with his mother in a rented fourth-floor accommodation for the past two-and-a-half years. The family is originally from Sripur in West Bengal, while his father works in Secunderabad.According to family members, Priyanshu woke up early and told his mother he was going out for a walk. She went back to sleep. Sometime later, his maternal uncle, Prabal Kumar, was informed that Priyanshu had fallen from the terrace. When he reached the spot, the landlord told him the teenager had died.A neighbour said he heard a loud thud around 5 am. He and his wife later opened the gate and found Priyanshu lying in a pool of blood. They alerted the landlord and informed police.Chas police station officer in-charge Dinesh Kumar Singh said the boy had stopped attending school regularly and mostly remained quiet. Police sent the body to Chas Sub-Divisional Hospital for post-mortem investigation and are investigating the circumstances of the fall.
