Hyderabad: The ruling Congress in Telangana has announced Sama Rammohan Reddy and R Sarvottam Reddy as its candidates for the biennial election to the Legislative Council from the Graduates’ constituencies to be held in March next year.
Rammohan Reddy is the party candidate from Mahabubnagar- Ranga Reddy- Hyderabad Graduates’ constituency.
He served as head of the media department of state Congress.
Sarvottam Reddy is the candidate from Nalgonda- Khammam- Warangal Graduates’ constituency, a Congress release said late on Tuesday.
Son of late Congress leader and minister R Damodar Reddy, he is a farmer and entrepreneur. After completing engineering from Osmania University here, he did MBA from the US and worked in the corporate world.
The date of the election is yet to be announced and the process of enrollment of voters for the poll is currently underway.
