Srinagar , Sep 29 :Hazratbal MLA Salman Sagar today reviewed the proposed restoration and preservation works of Jenab Sahib Soura (Spring) at Anchar and took a detailed briefing from officials of the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department, Soura.
During the visit, the MLA was briefed about the scope of the proposed project, which is expected to be commenced shortly at an estimated cost of ₹1.20 crore.
The restoration initiative aims to revive the spring and restore it to its original condition, while preserving the site as an important natural asset of the area. The spring, which was once widely used by local residents, is expected to regain its significance following the completion of the proposed works.
Salman Sagar emphasized the importance of preserving such natural resources and ensuring that the restoration work is carried out in a planned manner while maintaining the character and heritage value of the site.
The R&B officials apprised the MLA of the proposed interventions and the preparations being undertaken for commencement of the project. The initiative is expected to contribute to the preservation of the local environment and provide renewed public utility to the residents of Anchar and adjoining areas.
