Chandigarh: Haryana BJP president Dr Archana Gupta launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday, accusing him of spreading misleading narratives regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and undermining constitutional institutions.Addressing a news conference alongside Haryana ministers Gaurav Gautam and Rajesh Nagar, Archana Gupta said that after the Election Commission’s joint clarification debunked claims of internal dissent, the Congress has continued its baseless tirade.She criticised Rahul Gandhi for questioning national bodies from foreign soil and creating disruptions in Parliament. The BJP functionary questioned why members of the Gandhi family hold seats in Parliament if they refuse to participate in constructive parliamentary debate.Responding to Congress allegations of vote theft, Gupta counter-attacked, citing recent remarks by Congress MP Deepender Hooda regarding alleged special assistance from an official during the 2009 elections. “Congress must first clarify who actually steals votes,” she said.Highlighting the BJP govt’s performance, Gupta dismissed speculations about leadership changes, noting that chief minister Nayab Singh Saini is actively driving state development.Of 217 announcements, 70 have already been fulfilled, and two lakh youths have secured jobs through a transparent merit-based system, she said.Gupta also hit out at the AAP govt in Punjab over drug menace and employment issues, noting the BJP’s growing footprint in the neighbouring state.The Haryana BJP chief attributed the BJP’s electoral success to its robust booth-level organisation, dedicated workers, and public trust in welfare schemes. She also emphasised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.Gupta also elaborated on the party’s ongoing ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’ (Sept 17 to Oct 17), highlighting upcoming state-wide cleanliness drives on Oct 2 and free cataract surgeries for the needy to be facilitated through the NaMo Sewa portal.
