Patna: Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Friday criticised minister Ashok Choudhary over his “minor incident” remark on the Samastipur incident, saying such an incident should not be trivialised and demanding serious action by the administration.“If this happens to the daughters of your or our families, would you call it a minor incident?” Kishor said, alleging that instead of expressing grief and taking serious action, the incident was being mocked.Kishor also targeted CM Samrat Choudhary over the incident, alleging that law and order in Bihar would remain a concern if the state leadership itself was “illiterate and criminal”. He also claimed that the JD(U)-BJP tussle had delayed the appointment of the DGP. “This is just the beginning; the situation will worsen further,” he said.Kishor made the remarks after a Jan Suraaj ‘Shiksha Samvad-cum-Teachers’ Meet’ in Patna, which also discussed issues concerning education and teachers.Separately, at a party campaign committee meeting in Muzaffarpur on Friday ahead of the upcoming MLC elections, Kishor promised to address problems faced by teachers in deficit-funded and aided institutions and provide for the adjustment of remaining teachers. He said norms would be set for assigning non-academic duties to teachers.
