Hazaribag: The faces of 39 people who had lost hope of recovering their mobile phones lit up with joy on Friday as Hazaribag police returned the devices to their rightful owners.Police recovered 39 mobile phones reported missing from different police station areas of the district through technical investigation and Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal. Acting on the instructions of SP Aman Kumar, police registered complaints about the missing phones on CEIR and launched technical surveillance to trace them.Kumar said police obtained leads on the locations and usage of several phones during the process, which helped in their recovery. After the devices were recovered, police verified phone details and established the identities of the actual owners before handing them over.
