Kurukshetra: A woman walking home with her two children confronted three masked robbers despite one of them pointing a revolver at her head during an attempted robbery on the Ambala-Hisar highway. The woman suffered a injury to her ear during the struggle, but managed to save her second gold earring, while the accused fled towards Ismailabad on a motorcycle. The incident took place near the entry point of National Highway 152-D, shortly after the woman, identified as Beant Kaur of Chammu Kalan village, got off a bus near Gangheri village bus stand along with her son and daughter. Kurukshetra police have registered a case of snatching at Ismailabad police station.According to the woman, the three masked men riding a motorcycle intercepted them after they crossed over to the other side of the bridge. One of the accused allegedly pulled out a revolver and pointed it at her head, while another snatched a gold earring from her ear. When the accused attempted to take the second earring, Beant Kaur resisted and grappled with one of them. During the struggle, her ear was injured and began bleeding. However, she managed to prevent the accused from taking the second earring. Her two children also joined her in resisting the robbers. The accused allegedly pointed the revolver at her son in an attempt to intimidate the family, but the woman and her children continued shouting for help. As the resistance and commotion intensified, the three accused abandoned their attempt to take the second earring and fled towards Ismailabad on their motorcycle.The woman’s family reached the spot after being informed about the incident and alerted the police. Beant Kaur told investigators that she would be able to identify the accused if they were brought before her. Police teams have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage from the highway and surrounding areas to identify the suspects and trace their movements. A Kurukshetra police team from Ismailabad police station, and a CIA team are jointly working on the case, with efforts underway to identify and arrest the accused. Ismailabad SHO Inspector Satish Kumar said that CCTV footage has been obtained and an effort is being made to identify the accused.
