Daltonganj: The district administration will launch an anti-encroachment drive at Kinni in Chainpur on Thursday to free 5.74 acres of govt gair majrua malik land for a proposed mechanised solid waste management plant.The land, recorded under khata no. 19, was cleared for administrative action after a court verdict following a 14-15-year civil dispute. DC Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat has asked encroachers to vacate the land voluntarily.Additional collector Kundan Kumar said notices were served to 12 identified encroachers under the Jharkhand Public Land Encroachment Act. Boundary walls, two permanent structures, a shop and a poultry farm will be removed.
