New Delhi: Medical devices and hygiene products maker Romsons Group on Tuesday announced the completion of a strategic private equity transaction with Singapore-headquartered global investment firm Temasek.
Under the partnership, Temasek has joined Romsons as a long-term strategic partner through a minority investment, the company said in a statement. However, the company did not disclose the value of the equity transaction.
The transaction marks a key milestone in Romsons’ 70-year journey as it looks to build a larger, internationally competitive healthcare enterprise by combining its platform and operating capabilities with Temasek’s global experience, the company said.
Romsons said the partnership goes beyond capital investment and focuses on sustainable long-term value creation. The company plans to strengthen capabilities, expand its product portfolio and deepen its presence across domestic and international markets.
It will also continue investing in products, manufacturing, technology, and talent, while evaluating opportunities for strategic partnerships and acquisitions both in India and overseas, as per the statement.
Additionally, Romsons stated that it will assess the possibility of accessing public markets at an appropriate time, subject to its business trajectory and prevailing market conditions.
“The association with Temasek marks an important new chapter for Romsons. We have built a strong foundation in the Indian healthcare market over the years and this partnership gives us an opportunity to build on that foundation with greater capabilities and a global perspective,” Romsons Group Managing Director Kishore Narain Khanna said.
