KGMU nursing students withdrew their protest Tuesday after vice-chancellor Prof Soniya Nityananda assured them their demands would be addressed. The agitation began after a nursing student died of fever, with protesters alleging she was denied leave despite illness. Nursing College principal Suchana Rai Bhaumik has resigned. Students also sought action against the dean. The programme is offered under CII’s national campaign ‘Dream Unlocked: Building an AI-Ready India – Skilling the Youth on AI.’ AKTU signed an MoU with CII. The one-credit course covers AI basics, ML, Python, data analysis, NumPy, Pandas, visualisation, regression, classification and clustering.
