Chandigarh: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday directed senior bureaucrats to deliver “visible action” on public grievances raised by MLAs rather than offering mere assurances, warning that officials will be held strictly accountable for delays.Chairing a nearly six-hour meeting with MLAs, administrative secretaries, and department heads, Saini reviewed constituency-wise complaints registered on the Jan Samvad portal and demanded direct feedback from legislators on ground realities.The CM emphasised that issues raised by elected representatives reflect public sentiment and must not remain confined to official paperwork. He directed administrative secretaries to personally track these cases to guarantee time-bound resolution.“Citizens should not be forced to make repeated trips to govt offices for legitimate demands,” Saini said, adding that problems resolvable at the district level must not be unnecessarily escalated to higher authorities.In major administrative directives, Saini ordered all govt departments to identify their land holdings, update official records within one month, and immediately clear any illegal encroachments.To assist late-night commuters, the CM ordered an expanded schedule for the Panipat city bus service, mandating at least one bus every hour after 11 pm. He also instructed the irrigation and urban local bodies departments to frame a policy—similar to the panchayati raj department’s framework—to address concerns of families residing in affected areas for 20 years or more.The meeting was attended by development and panchayats minister Krishan Lal Panwar, education minister Mahipal Dhanda, agriculture minister Shyam Singh Rana, and public health engineering minister Ranbir Gangwa, along with top state officials.
