Bhubaneswar: The state govt on Tuesday appointed Berhampur SP Saravana Vivek M as the new DCP of Bhubaneswar.Saravana, a 2015-batch IPS officer, succeeded Jagmohan Meena, whose resignation from govt service was accepted by the Centre on Sept 11. “With Saravana’s appointment as DCP, Meena has been relieved by the state govt,” said a senior govt officer.The govt also appointed Dhenkanal SP Abhinav Sonkar, a 2019-batch IPS officer, as the new SP of Berhampur, a notification issued by the home department read. Paradip additional SP Mane Ajinkya Baburao, a 2022-batch IPS officer, has been posted as SP of Dhenkanal.In another appointment, 2021-batch officer A B Silpa, serving as ASP at the state police headquarters, has been posted as sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) in Bargarh.
