MUMBAI: The Sakinakyacha Maharaja in Andheri East, which claims to be the tallest Ganeshotsav 2026 idol in the city at over 42ft, received an offering of an enormous 350kg sugar free modak on Monday.The sweetmeat was later distributed to visiting devotees.Chef Harsh Kedia created what he calls India’s largest sugar-free modak at 350kg and standing 4.5ft tall.Sakinakyacha Maharaja had received recognition from a local record book on September 14 as the tallest Ganesh idol of 2026 in Mumbai. However another mandal in Khetwadi also claims its idol is over 42ft.Chef Harsh says his team prepared the modak, transported and installed it at the Sakinaka mandal with appropriate food-safety and handling measures, following which it was distributed as prasad with the organisers’ consent.
