Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab incharge Manish Sisodia on Monday lashed out at the BJP over its stance on the Jagga Singh case in Namol, Sangrur, questioning the political support being extended to a person against whom “nine FIRs have been registered”.In a press statement, Sisodia said, “Political parties should first verify facts about a person and understand how he is known in his village before making public statements or posting videos and tweets about such cases. The BJP commented on the matter without examining the facts surrounding the case.”He asked why the BJP chose to support him despite the state govt running the ‘Yudh Nasheyan Virudh’ campaign against drugs. “Opposition parties should support efforts to eliminate drugs rather than use every incident to target the Punjab govt,” he said.
