Lucknow: In view of the 2.5 million devotees expected to visit Barsana to celebrate Radha Ashtami on Sept 19, the administration has divided the fair area into seven zones and 20 sectors for better crowd management.Around 3,000 police personnel have been deployed to man the area, including two companies of the Provincial Armed Constabulary and two platoons of PAC flood units. To monitor the area, 155 CCTV cameras and drones will also be deployed. Two lost-and-found centres and six watchtowers have also been set up to assist devotees at Shri Ladli Ji and other temples in the vicinity.The UPSRTC will operate 160 special buses, with 40 buses kept in reserve. Each bus has been assigned two drivers. A temporary bus stand has also been built in Barsana. For crowd control, 38 holding areas, 50 parking sites, 88 barriers, 14 barricades and shoe-storage facilities at seven locations have been created.A govt spokesperson said the health department would set up 12 medical camps in the fair area, with sufficient availability of bike ambulances, regular ambulances and anti-venom medicines. The fair area will be a plastic-free zone, and those organising bhandaras have been directed to collect garbage and keep dustbins.DM Chandra Prakash Singh said govt’s top priority was to ensure that those coming to Barsana receive every possible facility and are able to have darshan of Shri Ji smoothly. This time, special attention is being paid to the convenience of Barsana’s local residents so that they do not face any inconvenience during darshan.
