COIMBATORE: A 28-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday on charges of breaking into a house near Rathinapuri in the city to steal valuables.The arrested man has been identified as S Manikandan, 28, of Rathinapuri.According to police, S Deepa, 30, of Rathinapuri locked her house around 11am on Wednesday and went out. Meanwhile, Manikandan broke into her house and began rummaging for valuables.Deepa returned home after an hour and found the intruder. As she raised an alarm, the man pushed her to the floor and fled the scene.Deepa lodged a complaint with the Rathinapuri police. Police registered a case and began an investigation.With the help of CCTV footage, police identified the intruder as Manikandan and arrested him. He was remanded in judicial custody.
