Mysuru: Mysuru district minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah on Wednesday accused BJP of waiting for communal clashes and attempting to derive political mileage from such incidents. “BJP leaders are like vultures. They wait for communal clashes to happen. Their plan is that a communal clash should take place, someone should die and the BJP should derive political benefit from it. Wherever communal clashes take place, the BJP has gained electoral benefit. Hence, they have greater interest in communal clashes,” he alleged.“Let them hold protests or processions. But why should crackers be burst in front of a mosque? If they come and burst crackers in front of our temple, will we remain silent?… Why should crackers be burst specifically in front of places of worship?” he asked.Yathindra defended T Narasipura police inspector Dhananjaya, who has faced criticism over his remarks concerning Ganesha procession.House built as per mother’s wish: MinisterOn the family’s new house in the city, Yathindra Siddaramaiah said it was built according to his mother Parvathi’s wish to settle in the city. “It was my mother’s wish to settle in the city. We built the house according to her desire. The entire plan for the house was hers,” he said.“We had built two houses earlier, but we never stayed there even for a day. Circumstances forced us to sell both houses. Now, we have built this house,” he said.He added that the family had asked his father, former CM Siddaramaiah, to visit Mysuru at least once a week. Siddaramaiah has already been visiting the city every week, he added.
