Chandigarh: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday directed chief minister’s good governance associates (CMGGAs) to intensify field monitoring of govt schemes, verify delivery on the ground and submit periodic evaluation reports to the chief minister’s office.Chairing a review meeting at Haryana Bhawan in New Delhi, Saini asked the associates to prepare district-wise reports on the status of his announcements, listing pending projects, reasons for delays and corrective action required. He said the reports should be factual, time-bound and based on direct field verification.He also ordered surprise inspections of samadhan shivirs (public hearings) to assess attendance, disposal of complaints and citizen satisfaction, besides seeking an assessment of the Nirogi Haryana scheme and the functioning of sports stadiums and vyayamshalas.Saini directed CMGGAs to participate in monthly district meetings on development works and flag the actual progress of key projects. He also ordered an early meeting to address shortcomings in the e-Registry portal and sought action on infrastructure gaps in industrial areas.Reviewing health services, Saini warned that negligence in government healthcare would not be tolerated and directed that a meeting of all chief medical officers be convened to review government hospitals across districts.He also called for standard operating procedures for tackling waterlogging and related civic emergencies during monsoon and non-monsoon periods.
