Bengaluru: A total of 1,84,628 Ganesh idols were immersed Monday across the five city corporations under Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA), using mobile immersion tanks and permanent as well as temporary immersion ponds set up at lakes and at designated locations across the city.According to GBA data released Tuesday, the highest number of immersions was recorded in West corporation, where 1,20,079 idols were immersed. Central corporation reported 28,860 immersions, followed by North corporation with 16,857, South with 10,372 and East with 8,460.The civic body had made arrangements for idol immersions through mobile tanks and designated immersion ponds across the five city corporations as part of the Ganesh festival management plan.
