Rohtak: Retired IAS officer Desraj Dhingra, brother-in-law of former Rajya Sabha MP Shadilal Batra, was allegedly assaulted in DLF Colony late on Sept 11 after asking that a car parked outside his house be moved.According to Dhingra’s complaint, he returned from Delhi around 12.30am to find a Volkswagen blocking his gate. His driver approached former Arya Nagar police station SHO Naresh’s house opposite. Naresh’s son Jairik allegedly abused and argued with the driver.When Dhingra intervened, Jairik allegedly abused and pushed him, causing him to fall and injure his elbow, while a finger also began bleeding. The car was subsequently moved.Police reached the spot around 1.50am after a Dial-112 call. Dhingra underwent a medical examination and later filed a complaint at Arya Nagar police station. ASI Vinod said a case had been registered and an investigation was underway.
