Nagesh ERODE: The Thalavadi police in Erode district arrested a man on charges of stealing five goats belonging to a farmer. Police recovered the goats and seized a minivan used in the theft.The arrested man has been identified as M Nagesh, 46, of Singapuram in Karnataka’s Chamarajanagar district. Police launched a manhunt for three other suspects in the case. They have been identified as Nagesha, 50, of Ambedkar Street in Panahalli, and Chinnasamy and Nagaraj of Santhemarahalli in Chamarajanagar district.Police said Rajan, 57, of Kalmandipuram secured his goats in a shed around 7pm on Sept 2. He found them missing the following day and lodged a police complaint.Police investigated the case and arrested Nagesh. “During interrogation, Nagesh confessed to stealing the goats using a minivan,” Thalavadi sub-inspector of police Martin said. The goats and vehicle were brought to the police station.Nagesh was remanded in judicial custody on Wednesday.
