Srinagar, Sept 8 : The All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC), in association with BARS, ITS India Forum, FICCI, ACMA, FADA, ASDC, SACPPE and other national mobility organisations and industry partners, is set to organise the National Drivers Dignity Day programme in Srinagar on September 17, 2026.
Addressing the media at a press conference, AIMTC representatives briefed journalists about the vision and significance of the initiative, aimed at recognising, appreciating and promoting the dignity, safety and professional pride of India’s millions of professional drivers.
The programme will bring together “Samaaj, Sarkaar and Bazaar” on a common platform to acknowledge the indispensable contribution of drivers to India’s economy, mobility and everyday life.
Organisers said participation from people and stakeholders across the country is expected to make the Srinagar programme a landmark and historic event for India’s mobility sector.
AIMTC appealed to vehicle dealers, transporters, fleet operators, drivers, automobile industry representatives and other stakeholders to participate enthusiastically and complete registration for entry passes in advance.
The organisers urged all sections of society to join the initiative and collectively say “Thank You” to India’s professional drivers.
