Ahmedabad: In the additional online counselling round conducted by the Admission Committee for Professional Diploma Courses (ACPDC) on Monday, 526 candidates secured admissions against 3,462 vacant seats in govt and aided institutes.Of the 1,275 candidates who participated in the round, 205 were among 363 newly registered applicants, while 321 candidates had registered earlier but remained without admission in previous rounds. The counselling process also enabled 236 candidates to upgrade their allotted seats, ACPDC officials said.In addition, 29 students shifted their admissions from self-financed institutes to govt institutions through the counselling round.Those allotted seats can confirm their admissions by paying the prescribed fee or accepting the allotment between Sep 7 and 9, as mentioned in their provisional allotment letters.ACPDC has announced the second offline admission round for direct entry into the second year of diploma engineering programmes under the Certificate Holder to Diploma Engineering (C-to-D) scheme.
